About the Internship
Our 2026 Summer Internship is a six-week program designed to give you meaningful, hands-on experience in a Chartered Accountancy environment.
During the internship, you will have the opportunity to:
- gain practical experience across our practice
- work alongside our Business Advisory and wider client service teams
- learn from experienced professionals who are willing to support and mentor you
-learn more about the CAANZ professional pathway
- build your confidence using professional systems, tools and processes
- develop your communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills
- get a genuine feel for BDO’s culture and career pathways
The internship may also lead to consideration for future graduate opportunities once you have completed your degree.
Who we are looking for
We would love to hear from university students who are:
- studying towards an accounting or commerce-related degree
- curious, motivated and keen to learn
- positive, approachable and willing to contribute to a team environment
- interested in gaining practical experience in a Chartered Accountancy practice
- able to communicate well and build strong working relationships
- interested in building a future career in Taranaki
- legally entitled to work in New Zealand
