BDO Northland is seeking a motivated an experienced Senior Auditor along with an Assistant Audit Manager to join our growing Audit & Assurance team based in Whangārei. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse client base while developing your career within a supportive, collaborative, and forward-thinking firm.
  
About the Role
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality audit and assurance services to a range of clients across various industries. You’ll lead engagements, mentor junior team members, and build strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage audit engagements from planning through to completion
• Prepare and review audit files in accordance with BDO methodology and standards
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
• Identify risks and provide practical, value-added recommendations
• Coach and support junior staff, contributing to their development
• Assist with business development initiatives and internal projects

What We’re Looking For

• Relevant external audit experience (CA environment preferred)
• CA/CPA qualified (or working towards)
• Strong technical knowledge of NZ auditing and accounting standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to quality
