The Opportunity
BDO Auckland’s Deal Advisory team is seeking a high-performing Senior Analyst to join our growing Deals Advisory practice. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with private equity firms, corporate clients and business owners to help them achieve their strategic growth and exit objectives.
This role is working out of our Auckland CBD office, 8.30am – 5.00pm, maximum of 37.5hrs per week, Monday – Friday. The salary range for this role is between $90,000 - $115,000 plus benefits and relocation allowance.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Analyst, you will play a key role across a broad range of engagements including:
- Deliver quantitative engagements such as model reviews, market risk services and regulatory assessments
- Guide team members on financial modelling and valuation techniques aligned with market best practices
- Work closely with clients and audit teams to ensure efficient engagement delivery
- Review team members’ work and reports to maintain high-quality outputs
- Analyse and compile financial data into usable formats, identify trends, and resolve issues
- Draft due diligence, valuation, and independent accountant reports
- Conduct research to support M&A, valuation, and review assignments
- Build or review models for forecasting, feasibility, and valuation purposes, including NPV and IRR calculations
- Manage tools like template libraries and transaction registers
- Meet with clients to understand modelling requirements and interpret forecast assumptions

Experience We are looking for someone who is experienced, has strong commercial acumen and looking for career growth with:
- Minimum 5 years of CF/valuation experience
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting and/or Finance
- Qualified CA, CPA, CFA or equivalent qualification
- Strong written and oral skills in English
- Confident, commercially savvy, innovative, detail-oriented
- Thrive under pressure
