About the opportunity
This is a great opportunity to join a respected accounting firm based in central Tauranga. We are looking for a skilled and experienced BAS Accountant with 5+ years in public practice to support a diverse client portfolio and help drive sustainable business growth.

What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Senior BAS Accountant, you’ll play a key role in helping clients plan and achieve their business goals. Your day-to- day will include:

• Preparing complex financial statements
• Managing and advising a portfolio of clients across various industries.
• Preparing budgets, cash flows, tax returns and reconciliations.
• Supporting business planning and growth strategies.

What We’re Looking for:
 To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A relevant bachelor’s degree
• 5+ years of experience as a BAS Accountant in public practice (currently working in public practice, ideally in a mid-tier firm).
• Strong experience in reviewing, as well as extensive compliance experience / preparing annual financial statements etc.
• Strong Excel skills and practical experience with cloud accounting products.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• A strong client focus and experience with a range of clients
• Ideally some team leading, mentoring experience skills
