The Opportunity

BDO Auckland’s Deal Advisory team is seeking a high-performing Senior Analyst to join our growing Corporate Finance practice. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with private equity firms, corporate clients and business owners to help them achieve their strategic growth and exit objectives.

As a Senior Analyst you will play a key role across a broad range of engagements including:

• Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) advisory
• Financial due diligence (buy-side and sell-side)
• Valuations
• Capital raising
• Financial modelling

You will be exposed to end-to-end transaction processes and work alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative and high-performing environment. This role offers a clear pathway to further advancement within the firm and the opportunity to develop into a well-rounded transaction advisor.

What We’re Looking For We’re seeking a motivated and commercially astute professional who brings:

• A strong foundation in corporate finance, ideally with 2–4 years of relevant experience in a Deals, Transaction Services, or M&A environment
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality client reports and presentations
• A proactive, self-driven attitude with the confidence to take ownership of workstreams
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to mentor and support junior team members
