Excel Refrigeration & Air Conditioning in New Plymouth is seeking an experienced Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (RAC) Technician to join our growing team. This role suits a technically minded professional who takes pride in delivering reliable, high-quality workmanship and customer service.
The Role
Based in New Plymouth, this role involves servicing and maintaining commercial and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning systems across client sites.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planned preventative maintenance and servicing
- Fault diagnosis and breakdown response
- Installation and commissioning of refrigeration and HVAC systems
- Industrial plant maintenance and system upgrades
- Working in line with health, safety and quality standards
- Delivering high-level customer service and technical expertise
Who We're Looking For
This position is suited to qualified RAC Technicians with strong technical capability and a commitment to safety, teamwork and customer service. The ability to adapt, problem solve and contribute across a range of projects and service work is essential.
The successful applicant will have the following:
- NZQA Level 4 Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or recognised equivalent)
- Current EST Practising Licence
- Approved Refrigerant Handling (Filler's) Ticket
- Full, unrestricted NZ Driver Licence
- Proven hands-on HVAC & Refrigeration experience
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
- Be currently residing in New Zealand
