We welcome applications from both traditional apprentices and experienced tradespeople looking to transition into the refrigeration, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (R+HVAC) industry.
The Role
You will learn how to service and maintain commercial and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning systems while working alongside qualified tradespeople and developing your skills as a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician. You should have a hands-on, problem-solving approach with an interest in working with tools and machinery.
Key responsibilities involved in a RAC Apprenticeship include:
- Planned preventative maintenance and servicing
- Fault finding, diagnosis, and breakdown response
- Installation and commissioning of refrigeration and HVAC systems
- Industrial plant maintenance and system upgrades
- Working in line with company health and safety policies and industry standards
- Delivering high quality customer service and technical support
Who We're Looking For
You'll have a willingness to learn, develop your skills and build a long-term career within the refrigeration and HVAC industry. Experience in electrical, mechanical fitting, plumbing or gas fitting, maintenance engineering, industrial plant maintenance, or other hands-on technical trades would be highly regarded.
To be successful in the role, you will:
- Have strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Be motivated to learn and grow within the HVAC&R industry
- Take pride in delivering quality workmanship and working safely
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Hold a full New Zealand Driver Licence
- Be currently residing in New Zealand
