About The Role
As an Audit Manager, you’ll play a key leadership role within the audit practice, responsible for managing large and complex engagements, mentoring high-performing teams, and maintaining strong client relationships. You’ll be trusted to lead delivery for some of the region’s most prominent businesses, while also contributing to the growth and strategic development of the audit function. This role offers a clear pathway to Senior Manager and Director level for individuals with the capability and ambition to progress.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of large audit clients across a range of sectors, including listed, regulated, and international groups
Oversee end-to-end audit delivery — from planning and risk assessment through to finalisation and reporting
Coordinate and supervise on-site and remote teams, ensuring effective delegation, coaching, and performance management
Review and sign off audit documentation and financial statements, ensuring compliance with professional standards (ISA, FRS 102, IFRS)
Act as a key point of contact for clients, building long-term relationships and delivering exceptional service
Identify and respond to technical issues, working collaboratively with internal specialists and partners
Support internal initiatives focused on quality improvement, innovation, and operational efficiency
Contribute to business development by identifying growth opportunities and participating in proposals or pitches
Lead, coach and develop junior managers, seniors, and trainees within the team, fostering a strong team culture
About You
ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent), with significant post-qualification experience in a UK audit firm
Proven experience managing audits for complex, high-profile clients (e.g., listed companies, large corporates, international groups)
Strong technical expertise in UK GAAP, IFRS, and auditing standards (ISA)
Excellent leadership skills, with a track record of managing and developing teams
Commercially astute, with the ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resource planning effectively
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience advising clients at senior levels
Ambitious, proactive, and resilient, with a clear commitment to delivering quality and driving performance
Keen to progress to Senior Manager and beyond in a high-growth, high-impact environment
Package & Remuneration
Salary: £60,000 – £75,000+ per annum, dependent on experience
