About The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Audit Senior to join a firm with big plans for growth and a focus on nurturing its team. You will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, leading audits from planning through to completion, and mentoring junior team members. Key Responsibilities
Lead audit engagements for a varied portfolio of clients, ranging from SMEs to large corporate groups
Manage audits from planning through to finalisation, ensuring adherence to UK auditing standards (ISAs)
Review financial statements and audit files, ensuring compliance with FRS 102 and other applicable regulations
Supervise, mentor, and develop junior staff, providing on-the-job training and feedback
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing high-quality service and acting as a trusted advisor
Identify potential issues and areas for improvement within the audit process, ensuring timely resolution
Support business development activities and contribute to the firm’s growth ambitions
Assist in the development and implementation of audit strategies, ensuring they meet client needs and expectations
Take part in internal initiatives aimed at improving audit processes and client service
About You
ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent), with significant audit experience in a UK accountancy firm
Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102), UK auditing standards (ISAs), and experience with a range of audit assignments
Demonstrated ability to lead audits and manage multiple assignments effectively
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and team members
A proactive approach to problem-solving and identifying business development opportunities
Leadership potential, with a passion for mentoring and developing junior staff
Motivated, driven, and enthusiastic about contributing to the firm’s ambitious growth plans
Package & Remuneration
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000, dependent on experience
Annual Leave: 25 days plus bank holidays, with buy/sell options
