Senior Test Lead (S4 Hana)
 
A major ASX-listed Australian organisation delivering a large-scale finance transformation, replacing its core finance platform with SAP S/4HANA. The programme spans multiple streams and business units, with testing at the centre of how it gets delivered.
 
About the role
 
You'll be a Senior Test Lead working alongside the Program Test Manager as their second in command. The programme is in design now, with SIT cycles starting mid-year and a large business-led UAT to follow. The role is based in Sydney, with 3 days per week on site.
 
Duties / Key responsibilities

• Read designs and requirements, scope the testing required and identify where the risk sits
• Plan and run SIT cycles across finance streams, from connectivity testing through to full integration
• Direct and manage a vendor testing team on execution, quality and pace
• Prepare and support business unit testers through UAT
• Run defect triage and drive issues through to resolution
• Produce clear reporting for senior leaders and cover for the Program Test Manager if required
• Test finance changes end to end, including chart of accounts redesign, allocations and apportionment, data and reporting, and process controls

Who you are

• You are a Senior Test Lead or aspiring Test Manager with a background in SAP, ideally S/4HANA finance.
• You've worked on large, multi-stream ERP programmes and have run SIT and supported business-led UAT.
• You can read a design, spot the gaps and know what testing is needed to cover them.
• You've managed vendor or offshore testing teams and held them to account on quality and delivery.
• You have strong written and verbal communication skills and are comfortable reporting to senior leaders and working with business testers.

Skills and experience

• Senior Test Lead experience on large, multi-stream ERP programmes, with exposure to test management
• Hands-on SAP S/4HANA testing experience, ideally in finance
• Understanding of finance transformation (chart of accounts, allocations, reporting, controls)
• Experience planning and running SIT and supporting UAT at scale
• Track record managing vendor or offshore testing teams
• Strong communication skills with senior leaders and business users
• Must be able to work on site in Sydney 3 days per week
