About the Company
Our client is a Sydney-headquartered B2B software company, backed by private equity, whose platform is used by thousands of businesses across Australia and New Zealand. New investment is funding a move from their legacy .NET platform to a cloud-native .NET and React stack.

About the Role
You'll report to the Engineering Manager and join a cross-functional squad alongside a Product Manager, Product Designer, QA and fellow engineers. The role sits at the centre of the platform rebuild, moving core product features onto the new stack and helping retire the legacy application without disrupting existing customers.

• Initial 6-month contract with extension prospects
• Hybrid working, three days a week in the Sydney office
• Hands-on rebuild work on a modern stack rather than legacy maintenance

Duties / Key Responsibilities

• Build and ship features end to end, from React and TypeScript front ends through to C# and .NET APIs
• Rebuild features from the legacy application on the new cloud platform, refactoring as you go
• Work with the Product Manager and Product Designer to improve features as they move across, rather than copying them like for like
• Write automated tests and contribute to the CI/CD pipelines that get releases out safely
• Review pull requests and pair with other engineers to keep code quality high

Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of commercial software engineering, with a proven full stack track record
• Deep C# and .NET experience building APIs and services, ideally on ASP.NET Core
• Strong React and TypeScript experience on production front ends
• Experience moving legacy .NET applications onto modern .NET in the cloud
• Hands-on Azure experience, or deep AWS experience and a willingness to cross over
• Solid SQL Server or similar relational database skills
• Comfortable with automated testing, CI/CD and Git-based workflows
• Previous contract roles, with B2B SaaS or product company experience highly regarded
• Confident using AI coding assistants in day-to-day delivery
• Full Australian working rights
