About the company
We’re partnering with a highly successful international business known for attracting smart, ambitious people. It’s a fast-moving environment with an entrepreneurial feel, where people are given the tools and freedom to do their best work. The business continues to invest in its people, technology and ways of working.
About the role
This is a broad People Operations leadership role with responsibility across APAC, leading a small Sydney-based team and working as part of an established global People function.
The remit spans HR operations, systems and data, mobility and immigration, alongside ongoing projects and continuous improvement. You’ll be responsible for keeping the operational foundations running well, while looking for practical opportunities to improve processes and ways of working as the business evolves.
It’s a role for someone who enjoys being close to the detail but can also step back, set priorities and lead a capable team. You’ll work closely with HRBPs and specialist teams locally and globally, as well as senior stakeholders across the business.
Benefits
You’ll join a genuinely high-performing environment that invests heavily in its people, with excellent learning and development, health and wellbeing initiatives, and a strong social culture. You’ll also have access to leading technology, including a broad range of AI and automation tools, with real freedom to explore how they can improve the way you work.
Duties/Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop a small Sydney-based People Operations team
- Oversee operational HR delivery across APAC
- Manage mobility, immigration and international employee moves
- Maintain strong HR systems, data and operational processes
- Continue improving processes and ways of working, including through AI and automation
- Contribute to regional and global People projects
Skills and experience
You’ll bring strong People Operations or broad HR generalist experience from a sophisticated, fast-moving organisation, ideally with exposure to an international or regional environment.
You’ll have experience leading a small team and be comfortable balancing day-to-day operational delivery with continuous improvement and project work. Exposure to global mobility and immigration will be particularly valuable, as will experience with Workday or a similar HRIS.
Above all, you’ll be pragmatic, commercially minded and comfortable operating in an environment where quality, pace and good judgement matter.
This is a 14–16 month fixed-term opportunity, offering a substantial runway in the role with flexibility around start date.
