Day rate contract - L2/3 Google Workspace Support Engineer - Hybrid Sydney CBD - 6 month + extensions
About the Company
Our client is a well-established enterprise in the retail space running Google Workspace at scale. This is a 6 month inital contract on a generous daily rate for an engineer who specialises in Google Workspace and End user support. 
 
About the Role
You'll be one of three primary Workspace administrators, working closely with the Google Workspace Platform and Services Lead. This is a genuine specialist function with real ownership over Admin console configuration, security, and continuous improvement, not a generic IT support role.
 
Duties / Key Responsibilities

• 2nd/3rd level administration of Google Workspace as one of three primary admins
• Owning Admin console configuration and change management
• Troubleshooting complex issues, including email delivery and cross-platform problems
• Chrome browser and device management (MDM)
• Partnering with the Cyber/Security team on Workspace security initiatives

Skills and Experience

• SuperAdmin experience with Google Workspace in a medium to large enterprise
• Strong functional knowledge across the Workspace suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides etc)
• Comfort with tools like GAM, plus DNS and email deliverability troubleshooting
• Scripting exposure (AppsScript or Python) is a bonus, not essential
• Exposure to GCP or other platforms such as Exchange, Azure AD, or Windows file servers is a plus
• ITIL familiarity helpful but not essential
