About the role Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this is a hands-on role that covers the full spread, month end close, reporting, reconciliations, tax, audit, and controls. Beyond BAU, you'll be embedded in integrating newly acquired businesses, working on projects, and getting genuine exposure to the decisions driving the business forward. There's no red tape slowing things down here, good ideas get heard and actioned. Clear progression to Finance Manager as the business scales.

Key responsibilities - Act as a true finance business partner, wearing many hats across accounting, tax, reporting and commercial support
- Own month end close, reporting, journals, reconciliations and multi-entity accounting
- Manage key tax compliance including FBT, payroll tax, BAS and income tax support
- Get involved in acquisition accounting, helping integrate newly acquired businesses into group reporting
- Work on projects and process improvement initiatives, with real scope to bring new ideas forward
- Prepare audit documentation and support external audit processes
- Maintain and improve financial controls and reporting consistency across the group
- Provide insights and reporting that genuinely support decision-making, not just compliance
- Partner with M&A and project teams on process improvements
- Support cross-entity and state-based compliance requirements
Skills and experience - CA/CPA qualified with roughly 2 to 4 years post-qualification experience
- Background in Big4 Audit or Business Services
- Strong tax knowledge, FBT, payroll tax and BAS essential
- Strong financial accounting, reporting and reconciliation skills
- Exposure to acquisitions or high-growth environments advantageous
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders
- Hands-on, proactive and ownership-driven
- Comfortable working across multiple entities and competing priorities
- Commercial mindset with a genuine desire for progression and visibility
