Network Engineer — Network Migration (Azure & Cisco) - Contract - Day Rate - 900-950 a day
 
Our client is undertaking a significant network transformation program, migrating physical sites onto a new cloud based network.

This role sits within a project-focused network migration initiative, moving physical site infrastructure onto a new cloud network. The engineer will bring strong project delivery experience rather than BAU support, working across Azure and Cisco environments. 
 
 
Duties / Key Responsibilities

• Deliver network migration activities, moving physical site infrastructure onto a new cloud based network
• Design, configure and implement Azure networking solutions as part of the migration program
• Configure and manage Cisco network infrastructure across the project lifecycle
• Support integration of Palo Alto firewall technologies where required
• Work within a structured project environment, managing migration timelines and technical delivery milestones

Skills and Experience

• Strong background in enterprise networking, with hands on project migration experience (not BAU support)
• Proven experience with Azure networking technologies (virtual networks, ExpressRoute, VPN gateways, network security groups)
• Strong Cisco networking experience across routing, switching and infrastructure configuration
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls highly regarded
• Demonstrated experience delivering network migration or transformation projects, ideally moving physical sites to cloud based network architecture
• Strong stakeholder communication skills, comfortable working across technical and project teams
