About the Role
Reporting into the Principal Enterprise Architect, this Lead Solution Architect role sits within the Global Platforms team, with a focus on People, Legal and Risk. You'll bridge business demand, solution design, governance and delivery planning across a broad portfolio of initiatives, working closely with Enterprise Architecture, delivery teams and vendors.

Duties / Key Responsibilities - Partner with the Principal Enterprise Architect to produce solution designs across the Global Platforms portfolio
- Lead early-stage assessment of new platforms, vendor solutions and SaaS products, including options analysis and recommendations
- Support the introduction of AI-enabled and digital capabilities into corporate platforms
- Work closely with delivery teams, platform teams and third-party vendors to protect solution integrity end to end
- Manage requirements to balance business value with technical constraints, keeping scope fit for purpose
Skills and Experience - Extensive experience delivering solutions across corporate functions within insurance or financial services
- Experience leading solution architecture through delivery, maintaining end-to-end solution integrity
- Experience designing digital platforms and digital employee experiences
- Strong capability in APIs, orchestration, event-driven architecture, workflow and rules-based design
- Experience defining integration patterns across core cloud based platforms and external services
- Strong understanding of non-functional architecture including performance, scalability, resilience, observability, security and supportability
- Strong governance and communication skills, engaging effectively with technical and business stakeholders
- Experience working across local and enterprise contexts, adapting shared capabilities to market-specific needs
- Desirable: experience with AI-enabled solutions, and with platforms such as Workday or Planview
