About the role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this is a hands-on accounting role covering month-end close, reporting, reconciliations, and support across tax, audit, and controls. You’ll be involved in embedding processes and supporting finance operations across newly acquired businesses, with exposure to senior leadership and private equity stakeholders. This role offers clear career progression to Finance Manager as the business scales.

Key responsibilities - Own month-end close, reporting, journals, reconciliations and multi-entity accounting
- Manage key tax compliance including FBT, payroll tax, BAS and income tax support
- Prepare audit documentation and support external audit processes
- Maintain and improve financial controls, policies and reporting consistency across the group
- Support process improvement, efficiency and automation initiatives
- Provide insights and reporting to support the Financial Controller
- Act as a commercial business partner across key stakeholders in the business
- Support cross-entity and state-based compliance requirement
- Act as a commercial business partner across key stakeholders, supporting decision-making through clear financial insight
- Partner with M&A and project teams on system integrations and process improvements to drive efficiency and consistency across the group
- Acquisition accounting support, ensuring accurate financial integration and consistency across reporting and control frameworks
Skills and experience - CA/CPA qualified with ~2–4 years post-qualification experience
- Business Services (mid-tier or boutique ideal) or strong multi-entity commercial accounting background
- Strong tax knowledge (FBT, payroll tax, BAS essential)
- Strong financial accounting, reporting and reconciliation skills
- Exposure to acquisitions or high-growth environments advantageous
- Strong communicator with ability to influence stakeholders
- Hands-on, proactive and ownership-driven mindset
- Comfortable working across multiple entities and competing priorities
- Commercial mindset with desire for progression and visibility
