About the role
This Financial Accountant role sits within a growing finance team and supports financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement across multiple entities. The position will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting reporting in a dynamic, expanding organisation.

Duties/Key responsibilities - Take ownership of month end close including journals, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Maintain general ledger integrity, support balance sheet reconciliations, and assist with consolidated reporting and management accounts
- Support tax compliance including BAS/IAS preparation, GST, and payroll tax obligations
- Assist with audit preparation, maintain strong documentation and workpapers, and liaise with external advisers where required
- Contribute to finance system improvements and partner with operational stakeholders to improve reporting and invoicing processes
Skills and experience - Experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role
- Strong understanding of Australian financial reporting standards
- Experience preparing BAS and IAS
- Strong general ledger and month end close experience
- High attention to detail with the ability to improve processes
- Experience working with finance systems and adapting to new systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with internal stakeholders
