About the role
This QA Automation Engineer role sits within the engineering team and focuses on API automation testing across backend services. You will work closely with developers, product and delivery stakeholders, embedding automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and helping ensure high quality releases in a fast-paced environment.

Duties / Key responsibilities - Design and develop automated test frameworks for RESTful APIs using Java
- Build and maintain BDD test suites using Serenity BDD
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, GitLab CI or GitHub Actions
- Identify, document and track defects while working closely with developers to resolve issues
- Participate in sprint ceremonies and provide updates on automation progress
Skills and experience - Strong Java development experience with solid OOP principles
- Proven experience with Rest Assured for API automation testing
- Hands-on experience using Serenity BDD
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with Git, Maven and Postman
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Performance testing exposure using JMeter is advantageous
