Our client is a growing Australian organisation specialising in the construction space. With strong growth opportunity to scale the business, with the IT department growing in tandem. 
About the role
This Level 3 IT Engineer will own and improve the operational IT environment. The role is approximately 60% project work and 40% BAU and critical incidents, working closely with MSPs and stakeholders to strengthen infrastructure, security and cloud capability.

Duties / Key Responsibilities

• Lead infrastructure and cloud projects including Azure migration, Intune implementation and network upgrades
• Manage and improve the organisation's operational IT environment including servers, networks and Microsoft platforms
• Monitor and maintain security frameworks, backups and data governance practices
• Provide Level 3 technical support, managing complex issues and critical incidents
• Manage IT hardware lifecycle, procurement and device provisioning across the business

Skills and Experience

• Degree in Information Technology, Information Science or a related field
• Around 5+ years IT support experience including Level 3 engineering experience
• Strong Microsoft ecosystem experience (Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra, Intune)
• Experience with networking, SD-WAN environments and infrastructure management
• Exposure to security frameworks, monitoring and governance practices
• Experience working with MSPs and managing operational IT environments
• Strong documentation skills including technical specifications and knowledge base articles
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
