About the role
Working within a highly skilled transformation team, this Senior Backend Contractor will report into the technology leadership and collaborates closely with product and design, contributing to a cloud-native, user-centric platform.
Details - Melbourne CBD office, 4–5 days per week

Duties/Key responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain Web API applications using .NET Core and C#
- Develop and optimise SQL/NoSQL databases and data models
- Implement secure, scalable, and fault-tolerant backend services
- Integrate APIs with internal and external systems
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments in Azure
Skills and experience - 7+ years' experience in backend development
- Skilled in .NET Core (6+), C#, SQL Server, and Dapper
- Understanding of RESTful API design and security (JWT, OAuth, etc.)
- Familiarity with GitHub workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure services
- Experience with unit testing, clean architecture, and performance optimisation
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams
- Exposure to NoSQL solutions (e.g., MongoDB, CosmosDB) is a plus
