Azure Cloud Engineer – 12 Month Daily Rate Contract – Sydney / Hybrid
We’re seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer to play a key role across a number of major cloud engineering projects. This is a 12-month daily rate contract where you’ll be at the forefront of designing and building enterprise-scale Azure environments that are secure, scalable, and automated from the ground up.
What you’ll be doing

• Lead the design and deployment of Azure landing zones to support enterprise-scale adoption
• Build Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, embedding automation and best practice into every layer
• Deliver robust solutions through Azure DevOps pipelines (CI/CD) for repeatable, consistent deployments
• Implement and manage key Azure services across Networking, Security, Identity, Compute, and Storage
• Support and optimise environments in both project delivery and BAU operations, ensuring resilience and performance
• Work closely with architecture, security, and delivery teams to ensure solutions align to governance and compliance standards

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer in enterprise environments
• Strong expertise in Terraform – confident building, scaling, and optimising IaC for complex Azure estates
• Deep understanding of Azure landing zones, subscriptions, and governance frameworks
• Hands-on knowledge of Azure DevOps (pipelines, CI/CD) and ARM templates
• Solid technical depth across Azure services: RBAC, Networking, Security, Storage, and Compute
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work seamlessly across project and operations teams
