M365 Specialist/Lead -180K Package - Hybrid/WFH 
 
The Opportunity
An established, values-driven organisation in the education sector is undertaking a major uplift of its Microsoft 365 and Modern Workplace environment and is seeking a Modern Workplace Lead to act as the technical authority across collaboration, information management, and data governance.
This role blends hands-on technical leadership with architecture and governance, working closely with infrastructure, platform, and business stakeholders to ensure M365 is used effectively, securely, and at scale.
Key Responsibilities

• Act as the technical SME and lead for the Microsoft 365 ecosystem
• Provide architectural guidance across Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Purview
• Lead Teams upgrades and adoption, including education-specific use cases
• Drive file share migrations to SharePoint, including records and information management
• Shape and uplift data governance, privacy, and compliance practices within M365
• Advise teams on best-practice use of M365 for collaboration and project delivery
• Work closely with Power Platform teams on future solutions involving unstructured data
• Contribute to roadmap planning for Microsoft Copilot and emerging M365 capabilities
• Partner with infrastructure and security teams to ensure aligned configuration and access models

Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem
• Proven expertise in Teams, SharePoint Online, Purview, and information protection
• Experience designing or guiding Modern Workplace architecture
• Solid understanding of data governance, privacy, and records management
• Experience working with unstructured data in enterprise environments
• Ability to act as a trusted technical advisor across IT and the business
• Experience in education, government, or regulated environments is highly regarded
