About the role
Reporting to the MD, the State Operations Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for leading multiple branches and their teams across the state. The role drives operational performance, financial outcomes, customer experience, and people leadership while contributing to national strategy.

Duties / Key responsibilities - Lead and support Branch Managers across multiple sites to achieve operational and financial targets
- Drive customer retention, service quality, and issue resolution at an escalated level
- Lead technology-enabled and AI-driven initiatives to improve operational efficiency, decision making, and customer experience
- Deliver state-based budgets, revenue growth, and cost management outcomes
- Lead compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Build strong teams through coaching, performance management, and succession planning
Skills and experience - Proven senior leadership experience managing geographically dispersed teams
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including budget and P&L management
- Experience driving customer-focused strategies and operational improvement
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead change effectively
- Background in operations, management, or a related business discipline
- Experience leading technology-led process improvement, including exposure to AI-enabled tools or solutions that drive efficiency, insight, and service outcomes
