Quality Assurance Engineer Contract 
 
Our client is a large-scale enterprise undergoing major digital transformation. Based in Sydney, they are focused on improving systems and experiences through innovation and collaboration, with long-term growth and delivery at their core.

About the role
 
Reporting to the Quality Engineering Manager, the Senior Quality Engineer will lead quality initiatives across multiple delivery streams. This role is responsible for driving test strategies, automation, risk mitigation, and ensuring consistent delivery standards across digital squads and critical systems.
 
Duties / Key responsibilities

• Define and implement quality and testing strategies across programs
• Manage multiple delivery streams, identifying and mitigating risks early
• Collaborate across squads on environment, data, and delivery needs
• Prepare and present quality reporting to senior stakeholders
• Lead investigations into quality issues and drive continuous improvement

Skills and experience

• 5–10 years testing web, mobile, and backend platforms
• 3–5 years’ Agile (Scrum/Kanban) experience
• Strong manual and automated testing of APIs (REST and SOAP)
• Skilled in Java or Kotlin, Rest Assured, and modern CI/CD tools
• Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, Splunk, and Datadog
• Strong test planning, defect management, and stakeholder engagement
• Exposure to non-functional testing (performance, accessibility, security)
• Experience testing mobile apps or Salesforce
• Experience in large-scale, consumer-facing environments
