Daily Rate Contract - Cloud Security Engineer (Entra ID) - Sydney 

Daily Rate Contract role with a leading technology-driven organisation with a strong presence across Australia. They are investing heavily in secure, modern identity and cloud platforms. 

About the role
This role focuses on delivering secure, automated identity solutions using Entra ID. You will collaborate with cloud, security, and DevOps teams to design, implement, and manage scalable identity services across hybrid environments. 

Duties/Key responsibilities

• Implement and manage Entra ID (Azure AD) integrations, app onboarding, and conditional access
• Automate provisioning and de-provisioning flows using SCIM or equivalent standards
• Develop Terraform modules for Entra ID app registrations and enterprise apps
• Hands-on Terraform experience with modular, parameterised design
• Familiarity with CI/CD integration for identity workflows
• Embed privileged access management (PAM) controls with IGA workflows
• Provide observability and assurance via identity telemetry and SIEM integration

Skills and experience

• Strong expertise in Entra ID (Azure AD), IAM, RBAC, and conditional access
• Skilled in app onboarding using SAML/OIDC with automated guardrails
• Experience with PAM, IGA approval workflows, and break-glass procedures
• Hands-on Terraform experience with modular, parameterised design
• Familiarity with CI/CD integration for identity workflows
• Knowledge of secure secrets handling with Vault, Azure Key Vault, or equivalent
• Broader understanding of Azure and GCP public cloud platforms
• Windows and Linux experience
