Our client is a rapidly growing healthcare group with national operations. Operating in a specialised area of pharmaceutical supply and distribution, the business supports critical areas of healthcare through a franchise-style structure.
About the role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will support month-end processes, payroll, and accounts payable within a complex finance environment. Working in a tight-knit team, you’ll be based in North Sydney and gain exposure to a niche and evolving healthcare business.
Duties/Key responsibilities
- Prepare journals, accruals, and prepayments for month-end close
- Process payroll, superannuation and employee entitlements
- Manage full-function accounts payable and vendor reconciliations
- Assist with reconciliations, cash flow tracking, and reporting
- Support internal controls and compliance with healthcare/government standards
Skills and experience - 2+ years’ experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar role
- Comfortable working with payroll, AP, and month-end processes
- Strong Excel and system skills (Xero)
- Exposure to franchise, retail or pharmaceutical operations is a plus
- Proactive attitude and strong attention to detail
