We are seeking a CSSD Instrument Technician Assistant to work in a part time fixed term (32 hours/fortnight) capacity based at Nhill.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The CSSD Instrument Technician Assistant helps in the reprocessing of medical instruments and equipment within the Nhill Hospital Operating Room and Central Sterilising Supply Department (CSSD).
This role focuses on cleaning, sterilising, and preparing instruments for reuse, ensuring patient safety and effective surgical outcomes.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Essential:
Effective communication and organisational skills.
The ability to prioritise tasks and work in a team environment.
Desirable:
Hold or working towards Certificate IV in sterilising.
Have at least two years’ experience in sterilising services.
Pre-Requisites:
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
Working with Children Check.
Fully vaccinated (including influenza) as per current Department of Health Directives.
Australian Driver’s Licence.
KEY RESPONSBILITIES
Work as a team member of the Nhill Operating Room & CSSD.
Keep accurate and up to date records of all sterilising.
Maintain a clean and safe environment in CSSD.
Responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, packaging and sterilisation of all reusable medical and surgical equipment utilized within the Nhill Operating Room/CSSD.
