Join our Traffic Accidents Commission (TAC) Support Worker team!

• Part Time (16hrs per fortnight) or Casual opportunities.
• Based in Kaniva.
• Above award rates and travel (over 30km min) reimbursed.

Provide in-home and community-based supports to our TAC clients, enabling them to maintain and/or increase their independence, assist clients to achieve their individual goals and promote positive community attitudes in relation to disability, ageing and inclusiveness.


KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Essential

• Effective communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to principles of empowerment, inclusion, choice and control when supporting people to maximize their independence and participate in community life.
• Current First Aid Certificate Level 2.

Desirable:

• Qualification (Certificate or above) in Aged Care, Disability, Individual Support, Community Services, or equivalent field.
• Previous experience working in a community or residential aged care or disability setting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• To provide support services for individuals receiving community-based support, including Traffic Accidents Commission (TAC) clients.
• Assist clients/participants to achieve their individual goals and to maintain their independence and dignity, as outlined in their Care Plan.
• Promote positive community attitudes in relation to disability, ageing and inclusiveness.
