Join our team in Nhill, Iona as the Ward Clerk in a part time (16 hours/fortnight) capacity on Fridays!
ABOUT THE ROLE/S:
The Ward Clerk provides frontline reception across the aged care facility and performs a range of administrative support tasks to assist and ensure the efficient functioning of the Health Service including assisting the Nurse Unit Manager to implement and maintain streamlined administration processes, supporting and orientating new staff members, ensuring all residents are correctly documented within their relevant software systems and managing enquiries from clients, families, and members of the community.
The Ward Clerk is required to be discreet, work well under pressure and promote a professional and caring environment through excellent customer service, and have a good working relationship with the Nurse Unit Manager and nursing staff.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA: Essential:
Effective communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work in a highly productive environment with time pressures whilst managing multiple tasks.
Demonstrate ability to communicate with the public and a high level of customer service skills.
Demonstrate ability to work both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
Desirable:
Cert III in Business Administration or similar is desirable.
A sound knowledge of medical terminology.
Nursing background, but not essential.
PRE-REQUISITES:
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
Working with Children Check.
Fully vaccinated (including influenza) as per current Department of Health Directives.
