Apply now to join our School Based Apprenticeship/Traineeship program at WWHS and gain hands-on experience within our Clinical Services division as an Health Care Worker Trainee!

Based in Natimuk, the successful applicant will complete a part time (13 hours/week) contract!

• Ideal for those considering careers in health or aged care who want to build practical skills and confidence!
• The school based traineeship will run for 12 months, where successful trainees will qualify as Health Care Workers with a Certificate III in Individual Support at the conclusion of the program.
• Trainees will complete one work day each week shadowing qualified team members and will complete 120 hours of clinical placement during this time. 
• Successful applicants will complete one training day each week, undertaken under supervision of the relevant school and is set by the Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
• Trainees are paid per hour for their study and work time.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Essential:

• Effective communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with the residents, families, carers and the community.
• An interest in working in an Aged Care Residential Facility as a Health Care Worker.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge.

Prerequisites:

• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
• Working with Children Check.
• Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 as per current Department of Health Directive.
