About the role...
The school-based traineeship is for one or two years, pending the applicant's current year level.
  
Successful trainees will qualify as a Painter at the conclusion of the apprenticeship with a Certificate III in Painting and Decorating.

Trainees are paid per hour for their study and work time. Study is undertaken under supervision of the school and is set by the Registered Training Organisation (RTO). Trainees will work the other day during the work week, shadowing qualified team members.
  
As a student in our Painting and Decorating School Based Trainee program, your professional placement will be completed on your rostered workday, you must complete all theory components and submit assessments to complete the program.

• Part Time (13 hours/week)
• Workday to be completed in Nhill.
• Duties include general painting and plastering, installation and maintenance of wall vinyl, general and preventative maintenance, maintain computerised records, access quotations, order materials and much more!

• Classification: OB65 ($20.13/hour)

About you...

• Currently in Year 10 or above.
• Effective communication and organisational skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• An interest in working as a painter or decorator.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge

Pre-requisites...

• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
• Working with Children Check
• Fully vaccinated (including influenza)as per current Department of Health Directives.
