Join our team in Jeparit as the Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant!

• Part time (32 hours/fortnight)
• Tuesdays and Thursdays!

ABOUT THE ROLE/S:

• Provide a Leisure and Lifestyle Program for Residential Aged Care Residents, on both a group and individual basis!
• Must consider resident likes, preferences, existing community, and family involvement within the Lifestyle Program.
• Work within a multi-disciplinary team and consult with nursing staff and Allied Health staff regarding appropriate activities for individual residents
• Liaise with, and co-ordinate support from nursing and other staff.
• Award: Victorian Public Health Sector (Health and Allied Services, Managers & Administrative Workers) Single Interest Enterprise Agreement 2021 - 2025
• Classification: IN31 - IN32

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA:
Essential:

• Effective communication and organisational skills.
• Have a clear understanding of the Aged Care Standards pertaining to residents Leisure and Lifestyle.
• Have efficient time management skills devoted to resident’s personal lifestyle programs, outings, required documentation and planning.

Desirable:

• Qualification in Certificate III Individual Support or equivalent field.
• Previous experience working in Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant position or field.
• Competence in using computer programs including Microsoft Word, Outlook and electronic resident documentation system (iCare) and other databases.
• Demonstrate flexibility to manage a diverse caseload.

PRE-REQUISITES:

• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
• Working with Children Check.
• Fully vaccinated (including influenza) as per current Department of Health Directives.
• Australian Driver’s License
