We are seeking an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse in a casual capacity to work within our Day Procedure Unit!

ABOUT THE ROLE/S:
WWHS Nhill Operating Room and day procedure service provides care to patients both preoperatively and post-operatively. The DPU unit currently runs Wednesday and Thursday for 3 weeks of the month.

Surgical specialities include:

• Dental
• General Surgery (including Endoscopy)
• Ophthalmology
• Orthopaedics

The Endorsed Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse is a valued member andcollaborative member of the multidisciplinary team at WWHS. They are accountable for coordinating and delivering safe and comprehensive patient centered care to achieve optimal health outcomes while working within their scope of practice and in alignment with WWHS and APHRA practice standards.


KEY SELECTION CRITERIA:

• Current AHPRA registration.
• Effective communication and organisational skills.
• Provision of high quality patient care.
• Assessment, clinical reasoning, problem solving and prioritisation skills.
• Ability to contribute to and practice collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Promote a friendly respectful and supportive environment within the department and organisation.
• A high motivation and willingness to learn and adapt

PRE-REQUISITES:

• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
• Working with Children Chec
• Fully vaccinated (including influenza) as per current Department of Health Directives
• Australian Driver’s License.
