Award: Maintenance (Victorian Public Sector) Enterprise Agreement 2023-2027
Estimated remuneration - $81,100.00 per year

ABOUT THE ROLE/S:
This multi-skilled position involves a wide range of general construction responsibilities across West Wimmera Health Service, including building works, fit-outs, framing, concreting, tiling, plaster installation, and painting.
The role also encompasses landscaping, joinery, and preventative maintenance tasks, requiring the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Under the supervision of the Engineering and Maintenance Manager or Leading Hand, the carpenter is expected to oversee specific projects, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety standards and relevant legislation such as the Building Code of Australia.
Maintain accurate records, participating in accreditation processes, and upholding the values and policies of West Wimmera Health Service.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA: Essential:
Effective communication and organisational skills
Qualified Carpenter.
Extensive knowledge of Building Code of Australia regulations.
Demonstrated ability to work without active supervision and within a team environment.
Desirable:
Previous experience working in building industry.
Computer skills
PREREQUISITES:
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
Working with Children Check.
Fully vaccinated (including influenza) as per current Department of Health Directives.
Australian Driver’s License.
