West Wimmera Health Service provides high-quality community outpatient services, disability and residential aged care and hospital care to more than 22,000 people in the West Wimmera region.
We provide generous support to undertake professional development.
Our Clinical Education team work collaboratively to develop a coordinated needs-based education program for the West Wimmera Health Service (WWHS) nursing division and other departments as required.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Assist staff in maintaining contemporary knowledge and skill that will enable them to maintain high standards of care and enhance the patient outcomes.
Support the organisation to deliver quality services through the education and professional development of staff.
To enhance organisational corporate capability and culture from an education and learning perspective.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA: Essential:
Effective communication and organisational skills.
Registered with the AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
Relevant Clinical experience.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.
Understanding of rural health issues relating to nursing.
Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or working towards or a commitment to obtaining within 12 months).
Desirable:
Postgraduate qualifications in nursing.
Accredited BSL and ALS trainer and assessor.
Previous experience as a nurse educator.
