We are seeking an Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join our team at our Iona Digby Harris Home in Nhill, in a full time or part time capacity!

West Wimmera Health Service provides high-quality hospital care, residential aged care, disability services and community health facilities to more than 22,000 people in the West Wimmera region.

We cover 9 locations across Western Victoria including Goroke, Murtoa, Rupanyup, Minyip, Jeparit, Rainbow, Kaniva, Natimuk and Nhill.  


RELOCATION INCENTIVE AND RETENTION BONUSES FOR AGED CARE WORKERS...

• Aged care workers are eligible to receive a one-off payment of up to $16,500 to cover immediate and direct costs associated with permanently relocating to rural and remote areas within Australia!
• To be eligible for this incentive payment, the employee must relocate
  from a metropolitan or regional area (MM 1-3) to a MM 4-7 location and work for your rural or remote aged care service for a minimum of two years.
• The employee may also be eligible to receive an annual retention
  bonus for 2 years following relocation and permanent employment
  with your rural or remote aged care service.

ABOUT THE ROLE/S:

• The Associate Nurse Unit Manager/Registered Nurse is to work collaboratively with the Director of Nursing/Nurse Unit Manager of the facility.
• The Associate Nurse Unit Manager will work with the multi-disciplinary team to facilitate and foster the provision of best practice standards of nursing care to the patients/residents, their families and carers.
• Award: Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Health Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2020 – 2024 - Level: YW11 – RN ANUM Year 1 OR YW12 – RN ANUM Year 2.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA:
Essential:

• Effective communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to problem solve and make decisions in a variety of complex situations.
• Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in clinical care.
• Have an excellent understanding of iCare, ACFI and the Aged Care Quality Standards (aged care facilities).
• Have an excellent understanding of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (acute facilities.
• Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
