HVAC Commercial Lead Technician 
 
40 hour plus OT as needed
Day Shift
 
Our client is an established full mechanical contractor based in Boise, Idaho. Their services include designing, installing and servicing HVAC systems for primarily commercial, industrial and institutional clients. 
The HVAC Lead Technician works closely with the entire construction team including HVAC, Plumbing and Service.  This position reports to the HVAC Field Supervisor. 
 
Primary Responsibilities

• Work on a variety of piping types: Copper, PVC, Cast Iron, Carbon Steel
• Use and review drawings, BIM modeling, shop/fabrication drawings to plan scope of work, review specifications, troubleshoot and make corrections
• Complete pre work task planning with an emphasis on proper job site safety procedures, PPE requirements, and evaluating job hazards
• Perform start-ups, works with factory start up within needed and perform project team commissioning when required
• Produce as-build drawings for work performed
• Foster a collaborative team environment 

Required Skills and Experience
 

• 10+ years of experience as HVAC Technician to include piping installation, as journeyman level or higher in an industrial or commercial setting
• Strong knowledge installing and troubleshooting all types of HVAC and mechanical systems
• Interpret trade related drawing, specifications, shop fabrication drawings, manufacturers installation instructions review, and coordinate with other trades
• Detail-oriented, organized with excellent time management skills 
• Effective communicator with previous experience in a lead role
• Refrigerant Handler Certification 
• OSHA Certifications - 30 hour minimum preferred
• Currently possess or able to get Idaho Journeyman License

• Frequently sits, stands, and walks
• Frequently bends/stoops, reaches above/below shoulder level, kneels, and squats
• Frequently climbs ladders and lift/carry up to seventy-five (75) pounds is required
