As the Superintendent for the HVAC construction team, you will oversee the installation and maintenance of HVAC systems on construction projects, managing field crews, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and coordinating with project managers and subcontractors to keep projects on schedule and within budget. Key responsibilities include reviewing project documents, planning and executing work, resolving field issues, managing logistics, and communicating progress to stakeholders. 
 
Key Responsibilities

• Project Management: Oversees HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair on construction or renovation projects. 
• Team & Crew Management: Leads and directs field crews, managing work performance, productivity, and morale. 
• Safety & Compliance: Enforces safety standards, conducts site inspections, and ensures compliance with building codes and regulations. 
• Scheduling & Logistics: Creates and manages project schedules, coordinating material flow, manpower, and subcontractor work to maintain project timelines. 
• Quality Control: Monitors work progress and quality, ensuring projects are completed to specifications and contract requirements. 
• Communication: Serves as a liaison between management, field teams, clients, and other stakeholders, providing updates and resolving conflicts. 
• Technical Expertise: Reviews project documents, blueprints, and submittals to understand scope and ensure proper installation. 
• Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves on-site challenges, mitigating risks and preventing delays or cost overruns. 

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of HVAC systems, including installation, operation, and repair, and experience with related equipment like hydronic piping and chillers. 
• Leadership & Management: Ability to lead and motivate teams, make decisions, and manage resources effectively. 
• Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills for interacting with diverse teams and stakeholders. 
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to handle complex on-site challenges. 
• Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure quality work and compliance with project documents. 
• Safety Training: OSHA certification or equivalent is often required. 
• Physical Stamina: Ability to work in various environments and perform physical activities like standing, walking, climbing, and lifting in all weather conditions.
