Job Summary:

Ground Works Land Design is seeking an experienced Hardscape Foreman to lead our hardscape crews in Westlake, OH. In this leadership role, you’ll oversee the construction and installation of premium residential and commercial hardscape projects, including patios, walkways, retaining walls, driveways, and outdoor living features. You’ll manage project schedules, coordinate crews, ensure quality craftsmanship, and maintain safety standards on every job site.

This position is ideal for someone with hands-on construction experience, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering top-quality hardscape projects.

Pay Range: $25.00 - $36.00 + Salary (contingent on experience)

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Has an advanced understanding of hardscape construction projects. This includes a clear understanding of the processes for properly laying paver patios, walkways, building stairs and garden walls etc..
• Coordinate, direct, and lead crews to the completion of hardscape projects
• Supervise crews through project completion ensuring quality workmanship and efficiency
• Communicate with clients when necessary and address customer concerns
• Effectively communicates with their Project Manager, regarding client needs
• Proficiently operate and care for a variety of landscape and construction tools and equipment. Including but not limited to skid steers, tampers, and excavators
• Train crew members to properly use equipment and perform job duties to the Ground Works Land Design standard
• Perform daily inspections of equipment to ensure all are in good operating condition. This includes but not limited to hand tools, landscape equipment and company fleet
• Accurately complete all documents and records related to a project including billable work and tracking of project productivity
• May be On-Call for snow removal during winter hours
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Educations and Experience:

• Valid Driver’s license with minimal incidents or points in the last 3 years
• Able to work successfully with limited supervision
• Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish is a plus
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in hardscape installation or construction
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment a plus
• Able to analyze diverse problems and consistently make proper decisions

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift more than 100 lbs.
• Able to crouch, bend, climb stairs/ladders for periods of time
• Able to stand for long periods of time
