Job Summary:

Ground Works Land Design is seeking a passionate and creative Junior Landscape Architect to join our dynamic landscape design team. In this role, you will work closely with senior designers and project managers to support the development of innovative and sustainable design solutions across a range of residential and commercial landscape/hardscape design projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to grow their skills and contribute to the creation of functional, visually compelling outdoor environments.

Pay Range: $47,000 – $62,000 Annually

Your Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development of landscape design concepts, including site planning, plant selection, and material specification.
• Support senior designers in preparing design presentations, concept drawings, and technical documents.
• Produce detailed CAD drawings, 3D models, and other visualizations for project proposals and client presentations.
• Collaborate with other team members, including project managers and contractors, to ensure the seamless integration of landscape designs into larger projects.
• Prepare and update project documents, such as planting plans, site layouts, and maintenance guidelines.
• Assist in managing project timelines, ensuring that all deliverables are met according to deadlines.
• Participate in client meetings and help translate their needs and preferences into design concepts.
• Stay up-to-date on landscape design trends, industry standards, and new technologies to bring fresh ideas to the team.

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in landscape design or a related field (this includes internships or freelance work)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D modeling tools.
• Strong knowledge of plant materials and sustainable design principles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Detail-oriented with creative problem-solving abilities.
• Understanding of construction documentation and techniques is a plus.
• Familiarity with GIS and landscape analysis tools.
• Experience with site grading and stormwater management.
• Knowledge of local zoning regulations and code compliance.
• Hands-on experience with Vectorworks & Adobe Suite.
