Job Summary:

Ground Works Land Design is seeking an experienced Bricklayer / Foreman to become part of our growing company. This candidate will be a skilled craftsman who can produce masonry projects from blueprints. We support an environment of growth and opportunity – we promote within! Masonry Crew Member -> Masonry Brick Layer / Apprentice -> Masonry Foreman -> Project Manager -> Operations Manager

Pay range: $22.00 - $30.00 + Salary contingent on experience

Duties / Responsibilities:

• On-Call for snow removal during winter hours
• Experience required in brick, block, and stone installation
• Read and interpret blueprints/drawings to determine the specifications and materials required for a project
• Use straightedges, rules, and staked lines in laying out a foundation or wall pattern
• Lay and align foundation according to set construction plans and specifications
• Cut, shape, and smooth materials using appropriate tools
• Set heights and verify the vertical and horizontal alignment of structures with the aid of levels
• Use finishing tools to achieve desired finish
• Carry out repairs on existing masonry

Qualifications / Experience:

• 3 or more years’ experience in Masonry
• Experience working as a Stone Mason or Brick Mason in the landscape industry a plus
• Experience constructing fireplaces and outdoor living spaces preferred
• Able to work successfully with limited supervision
• Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus
• High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift more than 50 lbs.
• Able to crouch, bend, climb stairs/ladders for periods of time
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work outdoors and in noisy areas for extended periods of time
