Advance Thinking is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator – ServiceNow to join a leading organisation for a critical short-term engagement.

This opportunity is ideal for a ServiceNow specialist who enjoys working across platform administration, governance, automation and continuous improvement. You will play a key role in ensuring the ServiceNow platform remains secure, scalable and continues to deliver value across the business.

What You'll Be Doing As the Senior Systems Administrator, you will provide hands-on technical leadership across the ServiceNow platform, supporting both BAU operations and strategic enhancement initiatives.
Platform Administration & Governance

• Administer and maintain ServiceNow environments.
• Ensure platform security, compliance and reliability.
• Manage ITSM, ITOM, HR, CMDB and CSDM capabilities.
• Maintain platform documentation and governance standards.
• Ensure ServiceNow licensing and operational compliance.

Automation & Continuous Improvement

• Deliver automation and integration solutions.
• Streamline workflows and Service Catalogue processes.
• Drive platform optimisation and user experience improvements.
• Leverage analytics and reporting to identify opportunities.
• Champion ServiceNow best practices and innovation.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Partner with business and technical stakeholders.
• Facilitate workshops, training and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with vendors and external partners.
• Promote ServiceNow capabilities and business value.
• Contribute to platform roadmap and strategic initiatives.

Essential Experience

• Strong ServiceNow administration experience.
• Experience across ITSM, ITOM and HR modules.
• Knowledge of CMDB, CSDM and Integration Hub.
• Experience delivering automation and platform enhancements.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• ITIL-based service management experience.

Highly Regarded

• ServiceNow certifications.
• ServiceNow scripting and workflow development.
• Experience with Performance Analytics.
• Exposure to AI and GenAI capabilities within ServiceNow.
• Agile delivery experience.
• Utilities or regulated industry experience.
