The Senior HRIS Specialist will partner across HR, Payroll, and IT, bringing both deep functional expertise and strategic perspective.

Functionally the role is situated within HR, with accountability for payroll and time process design, compliance, and outcomes, and works in close partnership with IT for system delivery and technical support.

While directly supporting our clients Australia business needs, the role requires a global mindset – ensuring alignment to global standards and best practices, while effectively navigating local legislative and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead post go‑live stabilisation and optimisation from a payroll and time operations perspective
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for payroll and time processes and systems, providing senior-level guidance and decision support
• Own & drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Provide senior functional oversight for complex payroll and time issues and enhancements.
• Partner closely with Payroll, HR, and IT to define and articulate business requirements
• Establish and mature HR‑led sustainment and decision‑making processes, including business intake, prioritisation, and governance.
• Support development of reporting and data insights to support payroll accuracy, compliance, and decision-making
• Ensure systems and processes adhere to Australian legislative requirements, while aligning to global frameworks
• Provide support and guidance to broader HRIS and Payroll team members as needed

Key Requirements[EN1] 

• Deep hands-on expertise in:
• SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central & Employee Central Payroll
• Workforce Software (Time & Attendance)
• Extensive experience supporting enterprise payroll and time management systems, ideally in both implementation and post-implementation environments
• Strong understanding of end-to-end payroll operations, integrations, and time data dependencies
• Proven ability to operate as a senior SME, balancing technical depth with business partnership
• Experience working within global HR technology environments, driving standardisation while accommodating local needs
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management capabilities
• Proven change management and stakeholder engagement capabilities
• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll compliance and legislative frameworks, including employment standards, superannuation regulations, taxation rules, and leave entitlements with proven ability to ensure payroll and time systems adhere to statutory obligations while aligning to global standards.
