As Waitomo Group continues to grow and invest in the future, we're seeking an exceptional Chief Financial & Technology Officer (CFTO) to join our Leadership Team and help shape the next chapter of our success. The role combines strategic financial leadership with responsibility for our technology and digital future.

The Opportunity:
Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFTO is a trusted advisor to the CEO, Board and Shareholders and will lead Waitomo's Finance, Technology and PMO functions. You will play a critical role in ensuring the business has the financial discipline, technology capability and delivery governance required to execute strategy, support growth and maintain our position as a high-performing, low-cost operator.
This is far more than a traditional CFO position. You will be responsible for:
- Driving financial performance, capital allocation and commercial decision-making across the Group.
- Leading Waitomo's technology strategy and investment portfolio to ensure technology delivers measurable business value.
- Leveraging data, digital capability and AI to enhance performance and create competitive advantage.
- Governing strategic programmes and transformation initiatives to ensure successful delivery and benefits realisation.
- Providing strategic advice and commercial insight to the CEO, Board and shareholders.
- Developing high-performing teams and building organisational capability for the future.
About You: You are commercially curious, pragmatic, people-focused and enjoy building capability, while also being equally comfortable discussing financial performance, business strategy, technology investment and organisational transformation.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Chartered Accountant (CA ANZ) qualification.
- Significant executive leadership experience in a complex commercial environment.
- Proven success leading finance functions, capital allocation and investment governance.
- Experience developing and executing technology and digital strategies.
- A track record of leveraging technology, data and AI to improve organisational performance.
- Experience leading large-scale transformation programmes and strategic initiatives.
- Strong board reporting and stakeholder management capability.
- The ability to influence at the highest levels and build trusted relationships with shareholders, executives and external partners.
