About the Business:

This business is proudly 100% New Zealand owned and has a commitment to people development, efficiency, and excellence in manufacturing. With an agile and cohesive leadership group they are now seeking a GM Operations to work seamlessly with this team.

The Role:

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will lead a high-performing operations team. This pivotal role will drive Operational Excellence across manufacturing and service delivery functions, ensuring productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction are consistently achieved and improved.

Key Responsibilities:

• Champion a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence and disciplined execution.
• Lead daily operational routines, embed Lean principles, reduce waste and improve flow.
• Build and develop a high-performing team aligned with the company values.
• Collaborate with the executive team to shape and deliver long-term strategy.
• Drive measurable improvements in productivity, DIFOTIS and profitability.
• Ensure health & safety compliance and foster a proactive safety culture.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven leadership in operational roles, ideally within manufacturing or construction.
• Strong understanding of Lean methodologies and data-driven decision-making.
• Exceptional people leadership and communication skills.
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, agile environment with a flat structure and direct communication.
