Are you an experienced HR practitioner who thrives on strategy, values connection, and wants to make a genuine difference in people’s lives?  This is a People & Capability leadership role in a purpose-driven organisation with strong values, a collaborative executive team, and a clear mission to support people to live meaningful lives.

You’ll lead people-focused efforts across the organisation – from performance management, employee relations, recruitment, learning and development, to employee wellbeing.  This is a hands-on role requiring both operational and strategic HR experience as well as the heart to lead with empathy.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Partnering with the executive team to shape and deliver HR strategy and operations that align with long-term goals.
• Coaching and supporting leaders in people management, performance, and conflict resolution.
• Leading recruitment efforts and building strong onboarding experiences.
• Overseeing learning and development, succession planning, and capability building.
• Championing wellbeing, health, and safety initiatives.
• Managing employment relations and policy compliance, ensuring alignment with NZ law.

What You’ll Bring:

• Robust generalist experience in a senior HR leadership or business partnering role.
• Strong understanding of NZ employment law and HR best practices.
• Proven ability to coach and guide leaders through complex people matters.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and planning skills.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources or similar is ideal.
• Proven ability to support company-wide communication initiatives, and hands-on experience using HRIS systems to streamline people processes would be beneficial.
