About the Opportunity: Holman Hodge is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Business Services Manager to join their growing Business Services team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working closely with clients, mentoring team members and partnering with Directors to deliver high-quality compliance and advisory outcomes. You will work in a collaborative, team-based environment and have genuine opportunities to further develop your technical, leadership and advisory skills within a diverse client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities: As a Business Services Manager, you will play a key role in managing client relationships and supporting the development of our team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing client relationships and expectations, including responding to client queries.
- Assisting in the management of a small team, driving accountability and effective delegation of work.
- Maintaining counselling and mentoring relationships with nominated staff.
- Identifying knowledge gaps and providing training and support to team members.
- Reviewing financial statements and income tax returns, and supporting team members in the preparation of client work.
- Supporting Directors with compliance and advisory tasks, providing technical expertise and liaising directly with clients.
- Managing work in progress (WIP) and billing for client engagements.
To be successful in this role you will have: Strong technical capability, a proactive mindset and a collaborative approach. You will be able to demonstrate:
- CA or CPA qualification.
- Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge.
- Demonstrated experience in a Manager role within business services, compliance and advisory.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and an inquisitive mindset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality.
- The ability to work efficiently and autonomously in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
- A positive, team-oriented approach with enthusiasm and a willingness to continue learning.
