An exceptional opportunity exists for a commercially minded and strategic CFO to join the Executive Management Team of a well-established, growth-focused organisation. This role is ideal for a finance leader who enjoys combining strategic influence with hands-on operational leadership, and who brings a forward-thinking approach to technology, systems and digital enablement.
About the Role:
Reporting to the CEO, the CFO will oversee all financial and corporate services functions and play a key role in guiding business performance. You'll drive financial strategy, compliance, governance, and risk management while leading the organisation's digital and technology agenda to ensure systems, data and platforms support scalable, efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with the CEO to develop and implement strategic and operational business plans, projects, and systems.
- Lead the finance and corporate services functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and statutory compliance.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash flow for a high sku organisation.
- Provide strategic leadership across IT and technology functions — ensuring robust digital infrastructure, effective system integrations, data integrity, cybersecurity oversight, and future-focused technology investment that supports growth.
- Oversee the preparation of management, board, and statutory reporting and dashboards, providing accurate and timely insights to support high-quality decisions and enhance business performance.
- Lead the annual audit process and maintain strong relationships with external partners.
- Oversee IT, Property, payroll and HR compliance.
- Conduct in-depth financial modelling and analysis to support commercial decision-making.
- Chair management meetings, contribute to executive and board discussions, and play an active role in governance and risk management.
- Oversee legal, supplier, and contractual matters, ensuring all agreements support the organisation's strategic objectives.
About You You are a qualified CA/CPA with at least 10 years in a senior financial leadership role, ideally within a complex, multi-site, or fast-scaling environment. You combine technical depth with commercial acumen and bring strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills. You thrive in dynamic settings, enjoy problem-solving, and take pride in delivering meaningful insights that drive results. To be successful, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Proven experience partnering closely with CEOs and executive teams to deliver business growth and performance outcomes across multiple facets of the organisation.
- Strong technical and financial capability, with the ability to analyse and interpret P&L, balance sheets, cash flow, and forecasting.
- Proven capability in overseeing IT and digital systems, ensuring technology, data and platforms effectively support business performance and growth.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Experience within complex, multi-site or fast-scaling environments is highly regarded.
- Demonstrated success in delivering accurate, insightful, and visually engaging management and board reports.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a strong sense of accountability and attention to detail.
- Sound knowledge of HR systems, compliance, and governance frameworks.
- Experience managing all statutory, tax, and regulatory obligations including BAS, FBT, and audit processes.
