About the Opportunity:
We're currently seeking a Retail Store Manager on a Full Time, Permanent basis to join the Dulwich Bakery team at our Beulah Park store. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll oversee daily operations, lead a close-knit team, and ensure our customers enjoy the friendly, high-quality experience that Dulwich Bakery is known for.
You'll play a key part in delivering our sales goals, maintaining excellent presentation standards, leading a motivated team, and upholding the values that make Dulwich Bakery stand out from the rest. Key responsibilities include:
- Sales & Brand Management - Achieve sales targets and manage wage costs in line with budgets.
- Customer Experience - Ensure every customer receives friendly, efficient service, whilst always promoting a positive and respectful environment for both customers and staff.
- Stock & Quality Control - Manage stock and product shelf levels ensuring the highest standards of product quality and presentation.
- Store Presentation & Food Safety - Oversee daily store cleanliness across all areas, ensuring compliance with Food Safety regulations.
- Roster management - Prepare and manage monthly rosters in line with budgets.
- Team Leadership - Assist with Recruitment, train and support new team members, drive high performance and team development.
- Cash & POS Management - Oversee daily POS, cash handling, reconciliation, and banking procedures, whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Operational Support - Manage petty cash, repairs, and maintenance requirements, and participate in weekend on-call support as needed.
What you'll bring: - Minimum 1+ years of retail management experience (food, café or retail background highly regarded).
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets, manage budgets, and control costs.
- A hands-on leader who thrives on delivering exceptional customer service.
- Experience with rostering, stock management, and team development.
- Passion for community, safety, and creating a warm, welcoming environment.
